Reserve Your Table

We're so glad you're coming. Reservations are strongly recommended for indoor dining and our Outdoor Patio — especially on weekends. We love walk-ins, and you're always welcome — just know that based on our size, we can't always guarantee a table for dining room requests. The bar and Betsy's Garden are first-come, first-served and never need a reservation.

CHOOSE YOUR EXPERIENCE

Start by selecting your preferred dining space and a time that works for you. Here's what each experience offers:

  • Indoor Dining Room — Our intimate 14-table dining room. Full menu, full service, full experience. Reservations strongly recommended.

  • Outdoor Dining Patio — Our covered pergola patio. Full-service, full menu, and open daily weather permitting. A little more shelter, the same great experience. Reservations strongly recommended.

  • Main Bar — First-come, first-served. No reservation needed. Full service, full menu — just show up.

  • Betsy's Garden — Our open-air Airstream bar under the open sky. First-come, first-served. Full bar, cozy cocktails, nosh, and desserts only. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.

ENTER YOUR DETAILS

You'll need your full name, email address, and a contact phone number to complete your reservation. This is how we reach you if anything changes, and how you'll receive your confirmation. A couple of additional things that help us take care of you:

  • Our kitchen — Everything that comes out of our kitchen is made entirely from scratch and is naturally gluten-free. Every dish is curated by Resident Chef Jill Vedaa, and each one is thoughtfully composed as is. We don't do substitutions — but we absolutely accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, and religious preferences. If you need something adjusted for a real need, just tell us. Additional sides are available for purchase if you'd like more on the table.

  • Allergies & dietary needs — Please list anything in the notes section when you book, and always inform your server before ordering. We have best practices in place to provide allergy-friendly options, and we take this seriously. That said, our kitchen works with seven of the top nine allergens — milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, crustacean shellfish, sesame, and soy — and some products may be processed in facilities that also handle the top eight. We want you to have the full picture so you can dine with confidence.

  • Celebrations & special occasions — Tell us in the notes. Anniversaries, birthdays, milestones — we love a reason to make an evening feel extra special. Special arrangements can be made with 24 hours' notice.

  • Outside food & desserts — We don't allow outside food, cake, or desserts unless they're from a certified gluten-free bakery with prior approval. Please reach out before your visit if you'd like to discuss this.

  • A note about the notes section — The notes field is reserved for allergies, dietary needs, and special occasions only. We are an intimate 14-table restaurant, and unfortunately we cannot honor requests for additional guests, seating changes, or other arrangements made through notes. Parties that arrive with additional guests beyond the reservation — including small children — may not be able to be accommodated. CONFIRM YOUR RESERVATION

You'll receive an email or text confirmation once your reservation goes through. If you haven't heard from us within an hour, check your OpenTable account to make sure it's listed — and if you still need help, call us at 815.356.1776 during business hours. We're happy to confirm, modify, or make a reservation by phone.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

  • Parties of 5 or more — Online reservations are available for parties of four or fewer. If you're bringing a larger group, please call us at 815.356.1776, email rhienna@1776restaurant.com, or message us through the OpenTable app. We want to make sure we're genuinely ready for you — walk-ins with additional guests beyond your reservation, including small children, cannot always be accommodated in our intimate dining room.

  • Running late? — We hold reservations for 15 minutes. If you're running behind, give us a quick call and we'll do our best to take care of you.

  • Walk-ins — Always welcome at the bar. We love a spontaneous evening — just know that based on our size, we can't always guarantee a table for walk-in dining room requests.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Stuff happens — we get it. All we ask is a 24-hour heads-up if plans change. To cancel or modify your reservation, you have three easy options:

  • Call us at 815.356.1776

  • Use the link in your confirmation email

  • Text us through the OpenTable app

Out of respect for our team and the other guests who wanted your table, any no-shows or cancellations after noon on the day of your reservation are subject to a $25 per person fee through our third-party reservation system. A quick call, text, or click is all it takes — we truly appreciate the courtesy.
